AGARTALA, April 28 (TIWN): Amid ongoing massive social media debates over DM's action in illegal marriage gathering amid curfew at Manikya Court on 26th April, Tripura for Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has poured fuel on the fire.Â
Though Manik Sarkar did not comment about the mask-less groom and bride and many others in that marriage hall, Sarkar said, he is shocked over the hard action taken by the DM.
"In our time, we always told our DMs that though Chief Secretary is the biggest post but in a District, DM is highest powerful...........now in 3 years of Fascist BJP Govt nothing is systematic. 26th April's incident was a part of it", said Sarkar.
DM on 26th April had raided an illegal marriage gathering which was going on in total violation of the curfew. Unfortunately in the state yesterday 2 people died but opposition and rebel-BJP groups are busy in politicizing the issue totally sidelining the meaning of Curfew and Officers' rights against Curfew violators. Nobody has sought action against the criminal activity of the marriage organizers who violated Curfew amid National Emergency and daily death tolls has risen to 3,000.
