Tripura Health Dept made COVID Test Mandatory before Vaccination : Second Dose of COVID Vaccination Continue

AGARTALA, April 27 (TIWN): Tripura Health Dept has made COVID test mandatory before the Vaccination. Right now above 45 years old persons are given COVID vaccines in Tripura and from May 1st, 18 years to 44 years old people will be included in this vaccination drive. Tripura has recorded total 98 new COVID cases on Monday, which is little less (2 persons) than the previous day. Yesterday total 100 cases were reported and more than 120 was reported on the day before yesterday. So, there are slight downs in COVID spikes in last 2 days. Mask Enforcement Drives, Awareness Programmes, Night Curfew are continuing in Tripura to Control COVID-19 and the "Free Vaccination" move for 18+ will start from May 1st up to age of 44, but lack of awareness are still being seen. Even CM Biplab Deb yesterday was criticized after he violated social gathering norms.

Yesterday, 2 marriage halls were banned for a year after they violated night curfew as well as massive gathering in a marriage programmes after 10 PM when only 20 persons are allowed to join in marriages and no function after 10 pm. Night Curfew will continue till 31st April.

Health Dept trying to cover highest possible vaccination drive : Above 45 persons are given vaccine throughout the state and the drive is continuing. A major section of people yet not obeying the COVID-protocols and even sometimes by political persons also rules are violated. Amid all such tough situations, administration continues its attempts to keep the people aware about COVID. Yesterday, Night Curfew has fallen on Day-4 in Agartala Municipal Bodies which was implemented in an attempt to control COVID-19 with aim to curb night gatherings, parties, illegal gatherings and also to influence the people psychologically about COVID-Crisis and its Seriousness. After a continuous vigil on first two days of the night curfew, on Day-3 the numbers of unruly public were much less however.In compare to last two days, on Saturday the city was less crowded. Cops have requested public to take COVID-19 much seriously as nationwide massive surges are reported and state is also under high alerts. 

In the Covid vaccination drive for 18 to 44 years old aged people in Tripura, it has been counted that there are over 16 lakhs of people who will be listed in the vaccine facility.  Tripura Govt has said that it will start the drive from May 1st amid various Non-BJP states have expressed resentment over the vaccine purchasing burden imposed. 

Tripura has allocated Rs. 133.19 from State Budget to avail a successful vaccination drive for the 18 years to 44 years old people. Addressing in a press meet, Minister Ratanlal Nath said,  "Out of all Northeastern states, only in Assam and Tripura, State Govts are giving vaccines at free of cost. The drive will start from May 1st and it will be free for all. Thus, it was decided in the Cabinet that for 16 lakhs of people we need 32 lakhs 64 doze needed. To fulfill the drive, Rs. 133.19 has been allocated from the State Budget. In Northeast, only Tripura and Assam are taking this initiative".
