AGARTALA, April 23 (TIWN): The unprecedented incident of Tripura where COVID patients of other states escaped from COVID centre has become a viral news in national media.

Various media including top most news media have covered the incident.

DM Sailesh Yadav has told the media that the escaped youths from COVID centre who are actually from other states, had visited Tripura to participate in TSR recruitment which has been going on for many days.   

The patients who broke COVID Centre's window and escaped have managed to escape from Tripura, confirmed DM West Sailesh Yadav.  The District Magistrate also mentioned that the patients belong to Bihar (14 youths), Uttar Pradesh (7), Rajasthan (6), Madhya Pradesh (1) and West Bengal (1).   

However, Sailesh Yadav then reminded the public about night curfew and gathering restrictions which have been imposed from today and the guidelines which are already widely circulated should also be followed.   Coronavirus infected patients have escaped from PRTI COVID Care Centre in Agartala.
