AGARTALA, April 22 (TIWN): Around 31 corona positive patients escaped from Tripura COVID Care Center, PRTI Building. The 31 COVID positive patients are from other states and they have escaped through broken windows.
A Police official said various rail stations have been put under tight security to find out the COVID patients and also said he is looking into the matter seriously.
The incident has generated tension in PRTI Building premises. Now the question is amid high security at COVID care centre how the COVID positive patients have escaped?
On being asked about whether it was a lack of security, police said that security forces were in front of the building and moreover, such incidents had been unprecedented and never happened earlier.
The patients used a broken window to escape, said police. Right now the police officials are focusing on finding out the escaped patients as they are under severe risks not only for themselves but for others who will come in contact with them. Police suspect that the escaped patients are nowhere nearby but already have gone far but wherever they are to trace them, the Police Dept is working now.
