AGARTALA, April 20 (TIWN): Maharajganj Police have arrested 2 gamblers from Pratapgarh along with cash amounts were recovered from them.
Based on secret information Maharajganj Bazar police in civil dress raided at Pratapgarh area and busted two gamblers from Pratapgarh Bazar area. Police seized Rs 4,570 in cash, Jhandi-Munda board and other gambling items from the two arrested gamblers. Later, they were taken to Maharajganj police outpost and a case was filed against the 2 gamblers.
"Police were informed by secret sources about the gambling racket. Police rushed to the Pratapgarh market area and nabbed them red-handd. Rs. 4570 was recovered from them", said Maharajganj Outpost SI, Mangesh Patari. He also said legal action will be taken against the gamblers.
