AGARTALA, March 21 (TIWN): Demanding withdrawal of Tripura Govt's memorandum on outsourcing recruitment, CPI-M's SC unit held a massive protest today in Agartala. Addressing the media, CPI-M MLA Sudhan Das said, "The decision of outsourcing recruitment has set a dangerous future for the youths of our state. No regular job will be given and minimum salary will start from 7,000 and maximum will be Rs. 17,000. This is a very low wage aimed to increase work-pressures. On 19th March, though verbal promise was given by CM in the Assembly but this is not enough. Even in verbal promise, it was said, if necessary, outsourcing recruitment will be done. We don't accept such statements. We demanded that this outsourcing recruitment should be cancelled fully but the Chief Minister did not say anything about this. I personally submitted questions with double-starred centering outsourcing as it will destroy the scope of SC, STs".
"Rather, it was said by the Govt side, if necessary, workers will be employed through outsourcing. Moreover, nothing was said by the CM about reservation in the outsourcing system but the question was denied with a petty excuse", said Sudhan Das.

The protest was also to voice against petrol, diesel, cooking gas price hikes.
Lashing out at the BJP Govt, CPI-M SC unit leader, former Minister Ratan Bhowmik has called Modi Govt is the worst Govt which is in power since 2014 in India.
"To deprive the Dalits and other backward class people, various Govt organizations are being privatized. Before election, it promised to give free cooking gas to all and now cooking gas prices are skyrocketing", said Ratan Bhowmik.
"The way fuel prices are in rise, it is just getting uncontrolled. All commodities prices are on rise and they (BJP party leaders) are cooking stories that this country is developing but practically India is going backward. Various international reports are saying this. India's democracy is questionable at the global level breaking records of the Emergency period", said Bhowmik.
