AGARTALA, March 20 (TIWN): In broad daylight, locals chased a thief while he was stealing goods from the Teliamura water treatment plant adjacent to the town hall in Assam-Agartala National Highway under Teliamura police station.

While the locals were chasing him, the thief left his bicycle loaded with stolen goods and fled away. Being informed, Teliamura police and DWS office staff rushed to the spot and recovered switch bulbs from the bag.

However, this is not the first time the locals witnessed such a scenario. A similar theft took place at the DWS Teliamura office a few months back.
