AGARTALA, March 9 (TIWN): Opposition CPI-M has slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his statement that only Rs. 135 MGNREGA was the wage in CPI-M Govt's time.
Addressing media, CPI-M State Secretary said that such lies don't suit a Prime Minister. MGNREGA wage was at Rs. 179 and BJP promised it to increased to Rs. 340 but now it is seen that not even minimum wages they are getting. Rs. 205 though has been announced but people are not getting half of it in maximum places because huge mandays and wage-distribution corruptions are going.
The CPI-M leader further hit PM Modi for his claim on 7th Pay Commission pays as Tripura was never given 7th Pay Commission but a pay matrix with less than 1% (0.32%) hike was given, depriving the employees from DA.
"This is not Vikash, this is Vinash !", the CPI-M State Secretary added.
