AGARTALA, March 4 (TIWN): Former Chief Minister, Opposition Leader Manik Sarkar has visited GB hospital today to check the health condition of former Minister, Deputy Opposition leader Badal Choudhury, who was attacked by BJP goons yesterday at his own constituency. Â
Badal Choudhury was attacked by BJP goons at Hrishyamukh during a programme. His vehicle was vandalized and few CPI-M leaders were injured in this incident.
The miscreants hit Badal Choudhury on his head. With big size bricks his vehicle was pelted. Although complaints were lodged but so far no action was taken by police.
Manik Sarkar on yesterday night issued a press release condemning this barbaric attack on Badal Choudhury. Today he has personally visited GB hospital to meet Badal Choudhury.
Badal Choudhury has been attacked physically by BJP goons many times and also with politically motivated cases, he was harassed.
Badal Choudhury is a 6 times MLA from the CPI-M party and considered as the one of spotless Communist leaders in Tripura with huge large developmental visits. The whole South Tripura has undergone massive revolution under his MLA-period.
