AGARTALA, Feb 15 (TIWN): In protest against police's barbaric torture on 10323 teachers in Tripura on January 27, the Joint Movement Committee of 10323 teachers staged a massive protest today in front of Rabindra Bhawan, Agartala. During the protest, the agitating teachers raised slogans, "You can't stop protest by Attacks' ', "No Job, No Rest". The teachers hanged banners like "Give us rice or give us bullet", "Shame on You Govt", "What was the fault of 10323 teachers ?" JMC member Dalia Das said, "We have only two demands - one is give us jobs and another is give jobs to the family members where 10323 teachers have died. Till now 86 teachers have died".  

"We are not going to stop our protest. The MLA Doctor of the BJP Govt has behaved inhumanly when 10323 teachers were hospitalized. He forced teachers to go home with severe injuries", said Dalia Das.

10323 teachers were protesting for 52 days at Agartala City Centre, unless suddenly without any provocation, Section 144 was imposed in that area and whole day police's barbaric attacks under Biplab Deb Ministry was noticed. That incident on January 27 injured over 500 teachers but when they were hospitalized, BJP MLA Dr. Dilip Das had managed to force discharge of the injured teachers. Against this incident, today this protest was staged.

Police on that day had seized agitation spots many important things including the donation box of the 10323 teachers were common men were giving funds for the protest continuation.
