AGARTALA, Jan 9 (TIWN): Hug quantity of Ganja plantations were destroyed by Srinagar police on Friday.
This drive was led by Srinagar PS OC-Manik Debnath.
Reportedly, under the area of Srinagar police station many areas had been covered with illegal ganja plantations. But, as police did not play any role to curb the increasing narcotic business, huge criticism had been erupted against the police.
On yesterday, finally massive area of ganja plantations were unrooted by the local police.
Around 4,000 ganja plants were destroyed whose market values will be at least 40 lakhs, said police.
A good number of TSR Jawans also participated in the drive.
