Statewide poverty knock-down Economy in BJP rule : 36 years old man swallowed Poison out of Poverty in Tripura, Critical

AGARTALA, Jan 5 (TIWN): Does not matter how far the ruling politicians claim about development but the reality is just horrifying under the BJP era in Tripura. Statewide when poverty, crisis fueling suicide attempts among the people, one more such report has demonstrated true existence of "crisis" in state. Under Boxonagar block, Lagoya Kalsimura Gram Panchayat 36 years old man Gautam Sarkar has poisoned self after developed argument with family over debt burdens. For a long time, the family was reeling under financial crisis and on that time and centering poverty, everyday he was being pressurized from family. Day night Gautam Sarkar was engaged in works and by profession, he is a daily worker. On yesterday, after such fight was repeated, Gautam Sarkar felt insulted and consumed poison. Local people saw him unwell outside and realized that he consumed poison, taken to local hospital but the hospital authority referred him to Hapania hospital from there. His is now undergoing treatment, critical.

Gautam Sarkar, 36, son of Bhanu Lal Sarkar, a resident of Ward 3, Kalsimura Gram Panchayat, adjacent to Boxnagar Block, has been living in dire financial straits for three years. Gautam worked as a day laborer to support his family, but now he has been suffering from financial and mental depression for a long time due to lack of work in rural areas.

Finally, on the verge of losing his livelihood, Gautam had no other option left other than to take his own life. However, he was found in an isolated place in the area and drank poison.

Later on, Fortunately, some local people noticed his physical illness and took him to Boxnagar Primary Health Center. Later when his condition deteriorated, he was referred to Hapania Hospital.
