AGARTALA, Jan 3 (TIWN): Agitating 10323 Teachers Joint Movement Committee (JMC) has requested all terminated teachers to stay away from such level of negative thinking like suicide. The statement by JMC in a social media post came after terminated teacher Uttam Tripura of Belonia subdivision committed suicide leaving his wife, two children and parents all alone. As suicide can not solve the 10323 teachers family members' crisis, JMC has given the statement. 10323 teachers are undergoing severe sorrows after losing one more colleague Uttam Tripura at Belonia, committed suicide in loan burden. This incident has erupted massive resentment among the terminated teachers who are protesting for long 27 days amid no sympathy was shown by Govt of Tripura and no call came from the Govt for discussion.
The teachers have shown various legal points by which their jobs can be saved but keeping suspense, Tripura Govt is totally silence over the teachers agony when on the other side, ruling BJP Party continues physical, violent attacks upon the teachers.
Finally, on the verge of losing his livelihood, Uttam had no other option left other than to take his own life. Uttam Tripura, a teacher of 10323, who was emotionally broken after not being able to run his family after being fired, chose the path of suicide on Monday morning. The death of the sacked teacher cast a shadow of mourn in the area. Uttam’s wife cried out, “I want justice for my husband's death.” She lied pyre ground and cried to put fire on her before putting it on her husband. The question arises whether this cry will reach the ears of the government, or more such sacked teachers like Uttam Tripura will die in coming days. How many lives will be lost prematurely, whether the government will be kind to them or not?
