AGARTALA, December 5 (TIWN): Armed Forces Flag Day, which is observed throughout the country since 1949, to honour the martyrs and men in uniform, who had not only laid down their lives but also valiantly fought for the country’s honour and safety was observed at Civil Secretariat, here today. Armed Forces Flag Day which is observed on December 7 every year but this year Armed Forces Flag Day is observed on December 5.
Chief Minister Manik Sarkar said that. “Armed force are indispensable to our nation’s independence, he said that a nation first needed security and safety which is the foundations on which its development is built. He also said that our country was united long ago culturally but the citizens remained separated geographically and physically. He said, “Instead of brooding over the past we should stand united and should be prepared for any eventualities that may come,” he added.
