AGARTALA, Dec 29 (TIWN): 10323 Teachers under "Joint Movement Committee" have continued protest on Day-23. On Day 23, the teachers are observing silent protest or in other words 'Mounobrata' to condemn State Govt's inhuman attitude towards the terminated teachers. Addressing media, one agitating teacher said, "On 23rd day of agitation, we are protesting at full swing. Very sad that the Govt has not at all concerns about our problems and situations. Our programme is today is "Mounobrata". It has various reasons to organize this silent protest. One of the reasons is that the Govt is purely silent and testing our strength, but we want to tell the Govt clearly that this protest will not end".

"The injury inside us is turning into Cancer. May be we could not send this message to the Govt properly but let us make it very clear that until our problems are solved and we are reposted in our  teachers jobs, our movement will not stop. Our jobs have gone out of a wrong action of the Govt. The verdicts of High Court and Supreme Court were misinterpreted. So, Justice A.B. Pal's statement has once again made this stand clear and on that basis, the Govt has to solve the problems now as our jobs had never gone".

"Our jobs are not gone ! It was never gone. If the State Govt wants, it can solve the problems now. We will also see its end. Let us see, how far the Govt can test our patience..........", said the teacher.

The 10323 teachers' uncertain futures started since High Court's verdict on 7th May, 2014 by the then Chief Justice. Although the Court gave certain options, but challenging the total order and not showing interest for negotiation, the State Govt under Left regime moved Supreme Court but after years of pending, Supreme Court upheld High Court's decision. The teachers are jobless today although nobody could alleged yet about any nexus between TRBT and Teachers recruitment but it was just error of recruitment process. However when Left Govt was arranging alternative jobs for 10323 teachers, the BJP as opposition turned the whole scene by assuring 10323 teachers that BJP Govt will continue 10323 teachers problems if BJP voted to power, but now amid BJP Govt's 33 months rule, nothing could be done for the teachers yet and the teachers are jobless for 9 months. In this condition, the 10323 Joint Movement Committee has started an agitation from December 7, 2020 for an indefinite period of time but after 23 days of passage, no Govt representative has met the teachers.
