AGARTALA, Dec 29 (TIWN): Adarsh Dey (23), MBBS final year student's death incident in boys hostel is now triggering tension after Adarsh's father has alleged it is a murder incident amd not a suicide. He also asked, why without police, his body was brought down if it was hanging, although the AGMC authority made it clear that declaring someone dead is not ethical without following norms. When Adarsh was found being hanged for the last hope of Adarsh's survival, the hostel authority, students took him to the GB hospital but found dead. Adarsh father expressed shocks over his son's death. He asked, "Why will my son commit suicide ? He had no issue and was the best student as well as President of the College's one medical unit. Moreover, I was told first that my son met with an accident and asked me to come to Agartala GB hospital but when I came half of the road, I was informed that my son is no more. I do not agree that my son has committed suicide. It is an unnatural death. Proper investigation should be done".
Former Health Minister Badal Choudhury also visited the College, condoled his death. Badal Choudhury said, let police to investigate the matter and how in such a big institution such incident happened, it should come out.
