TIWN Dec 29, 2020

AGARTALA, Dec 29 (TIWN): On day 23 of mass agitation, terminated 10323 teachers sang national anthem this morning and started a silent protest program with their mouths shut.
To recall, the termination of 10,323 teachers was turned into a significant political issue before 2018 Assembly election by the ruthless Government of Biplab Kumar Deb who promised the sacked teachers that a permanent solution will be made for the teachers and if necessary, a new amendment will be brought to spare their jobs.
However, it has been 23 days since the teachers are protesting under the winter sky yet our merciless Chief Minister doesn’t bother about this anymore thus making the teachers remain vulnerable to hunger, torture, oppression, and making them deprived of their rights and fundamental freedoms, including the right to food, and health care.
It is unrealistic to envisage that the teachers who were shown hope by the ruling Government before the Assembly election, are dying every day suffering from poverty, hunger, and poor health.
The question arises that who will now assume the liability for this stigma- the chief minister or the honorable minister of education.
