AGARTALA, Dec 27 (TIWN): Terminated 10323 Teachers along the bereaved families of the 10323 teachers have paid tribute to the departed souls of the teachers at Agartala city Centre. The family members of the teachers had broken down in cries, paid floral tribute in tearful eyes. Addressing media, the teachers have requested Tripura Govt to break its silence and not to expand the death-rally further. The 10323 teachers Joint Movement Committee which started protest from 7th December has continued their protest without any rest and today is the 21st day of the protest. Amid winter, the teachers in protest passing their days and nights on road. The protest has two demands : One is to arrange proper job for the 10323 teachers / to continue the teachers service by reviewing the verdict of High Court in 2014 / by changing constitution as promised by BJP before election. The second demand is die-in-harness jobs for one of the family members of the dead teachers.

Today all the demised teachers were paid tribute. So far 77 deaths have been reported among 10323 teachers. 

2020The 10323 teachers' uncertain futures started since High Court's verdict on 7th May, 2014 by the then Chief Justice. Although the Court gave certain options, but challenging the total order and not showing interest for negotiation, the State Govt under Left regime moved Supreme Court but after years of pending, Supreme Court upheld High Court's decision. The teachers are jobless today although nobody could alleged yet about any nexus between TRBT and Teachers recruitment but it was just error of recruitment process. However when Left Govt was arranging alternative jobs for 10323 teachers, the BJP as opposition turned the whole scene by assuring 10323 teachers that BJP Govt will continue 10323 teachers problems if BJP voted to power, but now amid BJP Govt's 33 months rule, nothing could be done for the teachers yet and the teachers are jobless for 9 months. In this condition, the 10323 Joint Movement Committee has started an agitation from December 7, 2020 for an indefinite period of time but after 20 days of passage, no Govt representative has met the teachers.
