Agartala, Dec 5 (TIWN): In Tripura, the main function takes place at the Rani Catholic Church in Mariamnagar, outskirt of Agartala. Not only the people belong to Christian community, people from different religions across the state gather at Mariyamnagar Church to celebrate the festival on Christmas Day while many of the devotees gather to offer prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ.
Besides, a vast number of people from Bangladesh also arrive at Mariyamnagar Catholic Church in Tripura every year to mark the occasion. Delicious cuisines and traditional dishes such as turkey, fruit cake, roasted potatoes, fudges and more are an integral part of this celebration. With an endeavour to draw more customers, almost all the malls and shops of the city are being decorated with the charming Christmas stars and vivid illuminations.
