AGARTALA, Dec 22 (TIWN): Former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has rubbished MLA Sudip Roy Barman's claim that retired employees posts are abolished by default within one year in Tripura if not filled up in that time and this rule is not new but it has been continuing since Left Govt's time.
Totally refuting the statement of MLA Sudip Roy Barman, former CM Manik Sarkar said that he does not know any such norm's existence and in Left Govt's time after 6 months each, a review meeting used to be called to check the vacant posts. He said how under the previous Govt no post was being abolished by only gap of a year.
MLA Sudip Roy Barman further mentioned in case retirement related vacancies, since the previous Govt's time, it is seen, if by one year those posts are not filled up, then they are abolished automatically be default. It should not happen and a post must have vacant validity at least for 5 years of an employee's retirement like Northeast states.
