Opposition demands de-privatization of TSECL due to abnormal electricity bills

AGARTALA, Nov 20 (TIWN): Opposition left wing's Khet Mazdoor union today has placed a deputation seeking rights for the poor people and financial helps to them amid COVID-19 situation.
During the protest, the electricty issue was also raised. Former Finance Minister Bhanulal Saha said that privatization has worsened the electricty services further and no proper help is given to the customers.
He also demanded that the Govt should change its decision of privatizing TSECL resulting abnormal bills coming to the people's houses for electricity expenditure.
The protest programme was mainly organized to raise voice for the poor people who are left in tight financial conditions due to COVID-19.
