AGARTALA, Nov 8 (TIWN): After filing scam-exposing news against Agriculture Minister Pranajit Singha Roy, a shameless attack was held on Saturday morning in the circulation of the newspaper at Udaipur, Rajarbag Motorstand. Aftermath the incident, although Chief Minister Biplab Deb assured justice to the newspaper team, but the situation instead of developing has been deteriorated. Reportedly, on yesterday night brutal attack was held on Alak Sutradhar, journalist of Pratibadi Kalam at Udaipur when he was returning his Chandrapur home. The hooligans were chasing Alak Sutradhar from a long time when he was returning home. Total four cars were behind him and out of those cars, 2 were maruti vans and two alto cars. More 2 bikes were also with the miscreants chasing Alak Sutradhar. Anyhow, by changing route, Alak reached home but the miscreants were so daring that they continued to shout with slang words standing before his home. Then they cut the power connecting wire of his home. A complaint was lodged formally but police are yet clueless about the incident.
Tripura Journalists have given an ultimatum of 24 hours to arrest all the criminals who were involved in destroying daily newspaper bundles of "Pratibadi Kalam" when hawker was going to distribute papers. Pratibadi Kalam is a widely circulated Bengali newspapers in Tripura, recently exposed Agriculture Dept's scam of Rs. 150 crore under Minister Pranajit Singha Roy and today's attack also held under the R.K.Pur constituency of the Minister.
