AGARTALA, Nov 16 (TIWN): Chief Minister Biplab Deb has launched locally made pineapple jelly today in the Secretariat after self-help group women showed him the products.

However, although pineapple jelly is a very traditional product and these made home to home from centuries, but Deb has claimed it will generate "employment" with proper marketting.

Today, he also launched Bamboo-Candles, saying, this will boost robust employment.

However, Tripura BJP before election had promised to give 50,000 Govt jobs in first one year but after 2 and half years have gone, job generation in Govt Depts are although at low  but termiantions of contractual employees remained high. Tripura also tops in Northeast in unemployment rate.
