AGARTALA, Oct 28 (TIWN): BJP which promised about doubling Govt employees salaries before 2018 Assembly Election, now turning nightmare for the Govt employees after voted to power. Even after much criticism, Govt of Tripura led by Biplab Deb has been strict to his Anti-Employees decision of 'reviewing performance' which was suspected by analysts as a plan to send them in force retirement. In an order released by Gomati District Senior Deputy Magistrate Sajal Biswas dated 22/10/2020 asked the offices to submit Govt employees performance report by November 7. This order however proves that in all Districts the order issuing would be continuing simultaneously. It has triggered question whether Tripura Govt is planning to send Govt employees in force retirement when the Govt recently has promised fresh recruitments amid financial distress but there are clouds about who will decide the parameter of the so called performance. Earlier also this type of decision was criticized but the Govt never came out with any resolution.

If applied, "Force Retirement" will be illegal also as when the employees joined, their Recruitment Rule was different and now modification will be a cheating to the employees. In the notification signed by Senior Deputy Magistrate of Gomati District, No. F. 8. (402-III) - ESTT / PEN/DM/G/2019-20/5091 with subject of "Constitution of Committee and Periodical Review of records under FR 56 (j) Rule 48 of CCS  (Pension) Rules, 1972".
