TELIAMURA, Oct 24 (TIWN): Little children have created a Durga idol with Tripura's traditional attire. The Durga puja has been organized at Dhan Chakma area in Teliamura and the idol has been created by the children of that area. Every year they make similar idols with very low budget. The locals said that not only idol, but various such programme related items are always made by their children as it's never affordable to them to carry the expenditure. This idol was created by Arvind Jamatia and for last 5 years this puja is being observed. The budget of the Durga puja is only Rs. 15,000 but is followed by all rituals and mantras chanted by the priest. The most attractive part was the beautiful attire of Goddess Durga with a beautiful "Mrinmoyi" face of the Goddess.
However, unfortunately, such puja does not get awards as awards are always given to those big clubs who are involved in public extortion and to decorate massive puja pandals.
