AGARTALA, Oct 19 (TIWN): Amid COVID-19 spreads and State Govt's awareness about Social Distancing, Tripura Transport Minister Pranajit Singha Roy has come with a resolution on Monday that passengers can sit in 2 seats side by side and the Govt only had asked them to maintain social distancing without overloading a vehicle. He said, State Govt only has asked bus drivers not to overload buses with passengers. Addressing media Minister Pranajit Singh Roy alleged that media is attempting to mislead the situation.

He cited example, flights are taking triple passengers, Railways also same and thus in buses also, it will be same but people have to consider their own safety first with masking, sanitizing. This statement is shocking as till today, the base of argument was to increase fare as Govt asked to take one passenger in double seat due to COVID-19 Pandemic.

This statement from the Minister came after 3 days of bus-strike in state. He also said, he was just informed about the strike on yesterday evening.
