AGARTALA, Oct 16 (TIWN): CPI-M's indigenous wing Ganamukti Parishad (GMP) and TYF's huge rally on Friday marched to West DM office. The agitators placed Deputation to DM with 12 various demands.
Their main demand was to include the kokborok language in Constitution's 8th amendment and to withdraw the CAA act.
While addressing media the GMP leader said, "Currently, our State is witnessing a suffocation of undemocratic rule. One can not survive in such a situation where you can't even speak fearlessly. On the other side, this govt has failed to provide proper food, water and job to the people of it's own State during this time of pandemic."
"We have placed deputation to West District DM and requested him to take the effective steps for developing the indigenous section of Tripura," the leader added.
