AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, Oct 12 (TIWN): Biplab Deb led Tripura BJP keeping silent over its leaders, criminals attacks on Govt officials, Chief Minister cum Home Minister once again failed to punish a criminal in Udaipur, who attacked a SDM A.Roy in 3rd April’2020.

Attacks on Govt officials which started right after the victory of BJP in 2018 has been continuing leading an ongoing tension inside the administration. SDM Udaipur A.Roy has lodged an FIR against a local BJP leader Suman Roy Sarkar after the SDM was severely attacked by the BJP leader when he was performing his duty. According to the official information, the FIR was lodged against Suman Roy Sarkar (Mantu) of Chanban, Udaipur in connection with “obstruction any officer in the discharge of office duties”.

It was on April 3rd around 10.45 AM in front Lake City Complex DM, SDM and other Govt officials with whole team were on duty and they were checking papers of vehicle drivers, asking purpose of the travelling as national lockdown is going on due to deadly COVID-19 outbreak and the Udaipur city still remained crowded. Reportedly, police had detained 2 few bikes and 4 wheeler but on that time, Suman Roy Sarkar rushed to the spot and touched SDM’s shirt and neck using slang language, threatening common people to create panic whereas he himself was roaming on road without any reason. Thus FIR was lodged against the person, but so far what action police have taken, it is unknown.

This is not the first time that under BJP rule, ruling party members are misusing power. How a lady police officer was attacked by BJP goons with slang language after she attempted to check papers of their vehicles in South Tripura, the state has witnessed on January, 2020.
