AGARTALA, Oct 11 (TIWN): Not only in the High Court, but Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb has reportedly given 'Fake' information to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over Home Isolation budget for the COVID-19 patients. The issue raised after in High Court Advocate General Arun Bhomwik said that Rs. 1,500 to COVID-19 patients was decision of the Chief Minister, not of Tripura Govt. But, data says, Tripura CM had told the Assembly about this, which may lead charges against the CM for lies and also he told PM Modi during his Delhi visit that Rs. 1,500 is given to the Home isolated patients. On October 5, in a shocking remark to the High Court, Advocate General Arun Bhowmik reportedly has said that Rs. 1,500 to home quarantined people was CM's announcement but not State Govt's decision. Earlier CM had announced about Rs. 1,500 to the quarantined COVID patients but till now, nobody got that amount. But, as per Advocate General's statement, no cabinet decision was made on CM's promise.
Question raises, was this announcement a JUMLA in the national level ? Moreover, compensation amounts for COVID dead patient families have not given yet.
The issue was exposed during a hearing in the High Court, where a writ petition was filed in the COVID mismanagement. High Court however, did not mention about the Home quarantine related compensation issue but seeking more clarifications, High Court has listed a date on 13th October, 2020.
