Delhi-Darbar: 16 MLAs of Tripura BJP sought removal of Biplab Deb from Chief Minister's post in revolt against his 'Dictatorship'

AGARTALA, Oct 9 (TIWN): Atleast 16 MLAs of the Tripura BJP Party have sought banish of Biplab Deb from the Chief Ministry post. Till now MLAs like Sudip Barman, Ram Prasad Pal, Sushanta Chowdhury, Diba Chandra Hrangkhawal, Asish Shah have been confirmed in the group. It has been reported in Tripura's local media that to end to "Dictator" rule under Biplab Deb, a group of BJP MLAs have stretched centre's eye and also in move to Delhi. Although, none of the MLAs have directly uttered Biplab Deb's name but media reports and social media posts by few of them are explaining the same. The report also named MLA Sudip Roy Barman, who was sacked by Biplab Deb from Health Ministry in 2019 and MLA Ram Prasad Pal have taken lead the role to clean Biplab Deb from the hierarchy. Earlier, Chief Minister Biplab Deb had said that he will be the Chief Minister of Tripura as long as he will be alive and nobody can unseat BJP from power.

BJP is a party in Tripura in alliance with IPFT. Out of 36 MLAs now 16 are reportedly rebelling, whereas maximum IPFT MLAs are too angry at the regime of Biplab Deb.

Sources also informed that in this Biplab Hatao movement, Sunil Deodhar is taking lead role, the Chanakya of Tripura BJP and trainer of Biplab Deb in politics, but he left Tripura followed by indiscipline politics under Biplab Deb, vandalizing strategies. After Ram Madhav's removal of Secretary post, this move has become smoother. Around 15 to 16 MLAs of the BJP had jointly written a letter to BJP National President J P Nadda.
