AGARTALA, Oct 2 (TIWN): Tripura Pradesh Congress on Friday morning organised a protest rally against the brutal gang-rape of a 19-year-old Dalit girl in Uttar Pradesh. But the protest rally was stopped by the Administration and a huge force of police was implemented on road. Later the congress agitators observed their protest curriculum infront of Pradesh Congress Bhawan. While addressing media president Pijush Kanti Biswas said, "Yougi Aditya Nath led Uttar Pradesh government and Police showed the most barbaric act that the entire human race has evet witnessed, they burnt the dalit victim's body and did not let their family members see their daughter for one last time. All these were happened just to save the rapists. We strongly condemned this act". "The government did not helped the victim's family and when the Gandhi family went to meet them, Yougi Aditya Nath's police attacked on them brutally and stopped them. We want strong action against Yogi Adityanath, he should be sent behind the bars as soon as possible," the leader added.

Reportedly, The 19-year-old Dalit girl from Hathras village in Uttar Pradesh, who was brutally assaulted by four upper-caste men, succumbed to injuries in Delhi’s Safdarjang Hospital in the early hours of Tuesday.

The incident occurred on September 14 when the girl went to collect animal fodder from a field with her mother. The girl was allegedly gang-raped, and later strangulated and dragged with her dupatta. Her tongue was cut and spinal cord was broken. There were severe injuries when she was brought to the hospital. After the girl's death CM Yogi Adityanath led UP police immediately burnt her body without her family's consent and without observing any last rite rituals.
