AGARTALA, Aug 23 (TIWN): Opposition CPI-M has staged massive protest in Agartala with various demands for the working class people (including all non-Tax payers). While agitating, the CPI-M has said that they have maintained social distancing with limited numbers of protesters and it’s a part of nationwide agitation started from 20th August and to be ended on 26th August. Addressing media, a leader said, “Our protest which started from 20th August is with 16 points of demands for the workers taking the common men beside us. Our demand is Rs. 7,500 for the workers, essential commodities for 6 months at 10 kilo for 6 months, to distribute agriculture’s necessary items to the farmers. We have maintained social distancing and all guidelines of the COVID-19 and we want people to join hands unitedly with our demandsâ€. CPI-M’s rally walked across various parts of the town Agartala, raised party slogan along with slogans for the people.
