NEW DELHI, November 26 (TIWN): No one ever imagined that Manik Sarkar's Parliament House Dharna will turn into such a massive flop show. CPIM Party could hardly manage few hundred paid people alltogether and most of them either Delhi Uniit CPIM supporters or transported MLAs, supporters from Tripura. Even though "Manik Raja" wore a tribal head band and posed with bow and arrows but Prime Minister Modi already fired his first arrow by curtailing MGNREGA fundings towards Manik Sarkar's corrupt government for looting hundreds of crores by Manik's close circle like scamster BDO Bimal Chakraborty. Manik's Delhi drama was inaugurated by Prakash Karat and attended by Sharad Yadav,Sitaram Yechury, Brinda Karat, Jiten Chaudhury and other CPIM Delhi functionaries and middle rung local leaders.Manik's flop show in Delhi is seen in such a poor light that even no national media covered it in headlines or in national news other than NDTV, which is owned by Brinda Karat's brother-in-law Prannoy Roy.

Inaugurating the protest, CPI(M) General Secretary Prakash Karat expressed the fact that even the 45 days of employment being provided currently will be reduced if the government is allowed to go ahead with its plans. He said that the government instead of plugging the loopholes in the scheme and providing 100 days of work as envisaged in the Act is resorting to curtailing the scheme to 200 districts in the country. Karat said that the Modi government is acting at the behest of the corporates and the vested interests in the rural areas who are now compelled to pay higher wages since the implementation of the scheme started seven years back. The poorer sections in the countryside, the landless, the agricultural workers and the poor peasantry who have benefitted from the scheme, stand to lose, he said.

"Tripura is the best performing state in the country as far as implementation of the scheme is concerned. It has provided double the national average of work. However, what the state got as a reward is a reduction in the central allocations. Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar said that this would adversely affect the implementation of the scheme in the state. He said that “the scheme has not only helped generate employment but has also helped to develop infrastructure in the rural areas”.   “Right from the beginning the vested interests in the rural areas, big landlords, money lenders, big capitalists and corporate houses were opposed to the programme”. However Delhi's local people had no interest to hear Manik's false propaganda.

Two days back, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and 20 MLAs of his party left for Delhi to participate in the ' Dharna' to be organized by the CPI(M) in protest against the curtailment of MGNREGA fund for Tripura . The ' 'poorest and honest(??)' Chief Minister Manik Sarkar is the main orator on behalf of his party in Delhi on this occasion. Interestingly this programme is being organized at a time when the state govt is busy to get the official confirmation regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit on December 1. Not only in the inaugural programme of OTPCs 726.6MW thermal power plant in Palatana but also to give the PM warm reception in various other proposed programmes. Now the question is when Prime Minister himself is scheduled to visit Tripura on the very first day of December, isn't it a sheer wastage of Govt fund in the name of sit in Demonstration?

A top level Melarmath brass told TIWN over phone late on Tuesday," Only for air travel in Agartala-Kolkata-Delhi and back in Delhi-Kolkata-Agartala routes at least Rs 20,000/- will be spent for each MLA. As 20 MLAs are now visiting Delhi , the total cost involved only in air travel is minimum of Rs 4 lakh ( the actual figure is even more). And these MLAs won't bear the fooding and lodging expenses in Delhi ( for two days) on their own. It means more than Rs 5 to 6 lakh will be spent to arrange their ' happy stay ';in Delhi. After that sight seeing, shopping expenses. Many like this are brought from Kerala and Bengal to enjoy "Delhi vacation." As of now it seems that Chief Minister Manik Sarkar who has completely failed to control unabated corruption during the last three years, has decided to take 20 MLAs belonging to his lobby in a 'Winter trip' to Delhi. The outcome of this programme will be a complete Zero. " According to TIWN highly placed sources in state govt, as per the instruction from Manik Sarkar and CPI(M) party more than Rs 35 lakh will be spent for organizing this Drama of ' Protest against curtailment of MGNREGA fund' . Again CPI(M)'s Tripura unit will have to arrange the loins share of expenses of this programme.

As the programme attended by Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and 20MLAs of his party, it is quite obvious that the total expenses will be borne from govt fund, though officially party will deny it. But a top level govt official told TIWN," Already instruction has been sent from an large section of the Cabinet to arrange the total fund likely to be wasted during this Dramabazi of Manik & Co. Accordingly a top brass of govt officials have already planned to show ' miscellaneous adjustments' of more than Rs 50 lakh. " But the question is 'What is the need for such programme? '. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will come to Tripura on 1st of December. During this visit state govt can easily submit its Memorandum of demands. And the demand list may have the inclusion of the ' Curtailment of MGNREGA' issue. Actually everything is a Got Up Show Piece( in the sense of cricketing term Match Fixing).

There is no denying of the fact that during the last 10 years( during the UPA regime) Centrally sponsored funds have been the major funding sources for running CPI(M) party and an large section of its party's leaders' extravagance. But soon after coming to power NDA Govt especially Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken a strict measures against the uncontrolled sanction of Centrally sponsored. Suddenly since May various scams in different centrally sponsored funds have been unearthed in Tripura. Some of these are given bellow:-

1) Rs 50 crore MGNREGA scam in Bishalgarh R D Block

2) Rs 40 crore scam in NRHM in Kailashar CMO OFFICE

3) Rs 14 crore scam in Rupaichhari R D Block

4) Rs 1.27 crore scam in Udaipur Municipal Council

5) Rs 5 crore RMSA scam in School Education Department

This can be made larger by inclusion of massive scams in different departments and blocks but our intention is not to shif the focus of the readers and viewers from the mainstream of this issue. It is now certain that after getting the date wise news of corruption and looting of MGNREGA fund by CPI(M) party leaders and corrupt officials patronized by them, Centre has decided to curtail the MGNREGA fund. And the programme on 26th November is simply a show piece after the set back of Manik Sarkar's so called ' Mr White' ,' Clean' and ' Honest' image. But in order to make political campaign by wasting govt guns collected as tax from the hard earned income of the  honest and sincere citizens of the state can never be justified by any means. This is purely a double standard role of Manik Sarkar and his Co in the truest sense of the term.

Many nearby people complained of sound pollutions by these obsolete communists. Neither this flop show is a subject of discussion in  Delhi's political circles. However, none of these type of shows will stop Modi's Govt's crusade against rampant corruptions.
