AGARTALA, Aug 19 (TIWN): Massive Drug Nexus has been busted in Agartala North Gate area in joint Operation by South, West District Police, Intelligence and Anti-Narcotic branches. From a home, one person named Ratan Saha has been detained with over 13 lakhs of cash, 52,000 yaba tablets, Brown Sugar. The operation started from morning, continued till late-evening of Wednesday. Addressing media, IPS Saraswati Rai, SP Anti-Narcotic said, “This was a joint operation by several units of Tripura Police, including the intelligence, led by South, West Dist team and also Anti-Narcotic branch. The operation is still going on and where we are standing is the home of a suspected narcotic trafficker".

"We have detained him with lots of yaba tablets and brown sugar and cash along with lots of ID Documents, property Documents. Only cash till evening was recovered at Rs. 13.60 with atleast 260 packets of yaba tablets and around 52,000 yaba tablets are inside them. His identity cards have been seized and we are working on this case", she said.
