AGARTALA, Aug 17 (TIWN): DYFI leaders, activists including State Secretary Nabarun Deb were arrested after they started a protest in demand of Hawkers.

The previous Govt had built a complex for the hawkers but the BJP Govt is now allegedly planning to handover it for Govt residential zone. Demanding rights of hawkers, the DYFI staged protest.

Immediately police rushed to the spot, stopped protest and arrested the DYFI activists. Also, arguments erupted between two sides.

Ironically in case of ruling parties even amid riot like situation in Taidu, police don’t take any action in Tripura but in case of opposition parties, police turned suddenly brave.
