AGARTALA, Aug 17 (TIWN): Festival season has been started in Tripura with Manasa Puja was observed in various part of the state.
At Agartala Durga Bari Manasa Puja was observed with full devotion on Friday. However, due to Coronavirus pandemic the festival could not be continued like other years.
Manasa Puja was mostly observed in houses across the state.
ManasÄ, also MansÄ Devi, is an Indian folk goddess of snakes, worshipped mainly in Bengal and other parts of North and northeastern India for the prevention and cure of snakebite and also for fertility and prosperity.
After one month of Manasa Puja, there will be Biswakarma Puja and then after one month Bengalis’ greatest festival Durga puja to be started for long four days.
