AGARTALA, Aug 10 (TIWN): Tripura gymnast star Dipa Karmakar has thanked Tripura and Central Govt both for opening gyms for advances athletes in Tripura.

In the presence of Tripura’s gymnast star Dipa Karmakar, Tripura Govt has started its gym centres from today.

Proper health guidelines, social distancing was maintained.

Talking to media, Dipa Karmakar said that it’s really a major development as due to Lockdown, the players became very fed-up at homes.

“I thank the Govt of Tripura and also the Central Govt for opening gyms. We will try our best to maintain social distancing and to obey all rules and regulations”, said Karmakar.

“It’s after 5 and half months we are here. Although there is right now no competition but it is important to mobilize the previous trainings”, she said.
