Heavy argument between Police, Youth Congress in Teliamura during foundation day programme, protests

AGARTALA, Aug 9 (TIWN):Teliamura police interfered in youth congress's curriculum of observing national youth congress foundation day due to COVID-19 rules, although the Congress alleged that only in case of opposition, police are very active and suppressing protests.
Reportedly, on Sunday with the whole country Teliamura Youth Congress also had taken initiative to celebrate the foundation day of National Youth Congress. But in Teliamura police stopped them from performing their curriculum and scattered the youths.
Teliamura SDPO V Jagadishwar Reddy led police force stopped the youth congress members and asked them for ending the program which resulted in arguments.
Explaining the matter Youth leader Pujan Biswas said that, when the whole country is celebrating the day with an enthusiastic manner, why it is prohibited in Teliamura only. He also said that agitation against unemployment and other issues will be continued despite all the odds.
