AGARTALA, Aug 8 (TIWN): In a horrifying road accident in Tripura, one person has been reported as “spot-dead”, whereas three more people are injured. One big sized truck has been seized by police along with the driver is too arrested. The accident took place Kalabagan near petrol pump after two bikes hit each other in overtaking mode and hit with the Truck. The deceased has been Sanjoy Debbarma (28), resident of Uttat Joynagar. The injured persons are Manmohan Debbrma(33) of Uttar Joynagar, Elai Debbarma(24) of Kalaban, Alpana Debbarma(20) of Kalbagan. Talking to a police officer on spot, he said, “Today at around 9 AM a truck bearing number –AS01EC9476 was going from Agartala to Teliamura. A TVS bike numbered 5318 was trying to overtake the bike and at the opposite side 9813 numbered bike was coming".

"Losing control, these two bikes hit with each other and then hit with the truck. Among them from 9813 bike one person Sanjoy Debbarma was seriously injured and after hospitalization announced as dead", said the police officer of Jirania PS.

“We have detained the truck and the driver both. Other three injured persons are safe, released after primary treatment”, said the Police officer.

Died Sanjay Debbarma was sitting at last of the 9831 numbered bike which was coming from the Teliamura route.
