AGARTALA, Aug 7 (TIWN): No shop-keeper should keep any freezing charge of cold drinks, liquors and if they are keeping freezing charge then it’s illegal.
In such an administrative drive, various shops were put under fines for cutting public pockets in the name of “freezing charge”.
On Friday, the food inspectors and other officials have raided the market to check the authenticity of the essential commodity prices. On this raid, the officials have seized few machines that were showing wrong measurements.
The officials also filed a case against one liquor shop which was selling liquor imposing extra price than the actual MRP.
The Food and Excise department officials said that such raids will be continued in different parts across the capital to check the quality of food and other stuffs in this period of world pandemic.
