Agartala, Nov 25 (TIWN): The further hearing of Chandrapur Brutal incident case is likely to be conducted before the Additional District and Sessions Court, West Tripura from November 28, said an official from East Agartala police station Tuesday. He also confirmed that recently the police have received the forensic reports of multiple supportive footages in this case, which were sent to Guwahati for forensic test earlier.
At present, all of the FIR named 20 accused persons including 7 women and 2 government employees into Tata Kalibari incident are in jail custody. Police are trying to gather more evidences. The investigation into this case is on the right track, police said.
It is to be mentioned here; on the pre-eve of Laxmi puja, Soma Majumder, a housewife of Tata Kalibari area in Chandrapur area under East Agartala police station was tortured inhumanely by the alleged cadres of ruling front including women. On the same evening, the victim had logged an FIR against 20 accused persons in this regard at East Agartala police station. Later, the FIR named accused persons into Tata Kalibari incident had surrendered before the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s court on October 20.

According to the police, the CJM has recorded the statement of the victim- Soma Majumder (Debnath) on October 13. The police have submitted the Case Diary (CD) before the CJM on the same day.
