AGARTALA, Aug 5 (TIWN): In the political ego fight of the ruling party MLAs, now Doctors have become the target in the middle in Tripura, resulted in suspension of an innocent Doctor Uttam Bhattacharjee, who was suspended for assisting MLA Sudip Barman after he visited Bhagat Singh COVID-19 Care Cente.

Talking to media, a senior Doctor said, “We are shocked after acknowledging about the suspension order of Dr Uttam Kumar Bhattacharjee. He is an eye-surgeon basically, but due to COVID-19 crisis situations, he is posted in Bhagat Singh COVID-19 Care Centre, although a Medicine Doctor is needed in that Centre.  But still, he is doing his duties due to Doctors’ shortage but he is now suspended illegally. In the COVID-19 Centre, the responsibility goes to the Civil Officers mainly including food and sanitizing. Doctors duty is only about treatment”.
