AGARTALA, Aug 3 (TIWN): Former CPI-M Minister, former MP, Gana Mukti Parishad (GMP) President Jitendra Choudhury on Monday has commented over the two FIRs which have been filed against him after he commented regarding a recently happened incident in his Facebook Page. The former MP posted on social media about a statue collapse, based on various viral reports about a traditional attired Reang woman, which was built in the CPI-M controlled ADC era. Indeed, Jitendra Choudhury posted his condemnation as a mass leader, one day after the report went viral in social media already. But categorical FIRs have been lodged against him and also the CPI-M page. Reacting over the FIRs, Jitendra Choudhury said that Courts and Laws are still there and BJP could not hijack each institution yet. “Truth will be exposed and how BJP Govt has been using Police machinery in their own interests, it will also be recordedâ€, Jitendra Choudhury told media.
The Marxist leader also raised question, why ICA Dept on yesterday, while releasing its statement skipped the Police’s statement ?
The whole matter erupted after a statue was collapsed at Khumulwng near the headquarter and various statements came, whereas Tripura Police claimed that a party of Tripura Police were present when this incident took place.
