AARTALA, November 24 (TIWN): High Court on Monday asked Police to submit latest police investigation report by Tuesday as it expressed dissatisfaction over investigation report of Rs. 50 crore MGNREGA scam under Bishalgarh R.D.Block.It is to be mentioned here that on the basis of submission of PIL formed by the Congress and Trinamool Congress, the High Court had scheduled the tentative date for second hearing on Monday. Earlier, the hearing was first held at October 29th.On Monday, at the hearing of the PIL filed by Congress and Trinamool for the CBI enquiry in Rs. 50 crore MGNREGA scam under Bishalgarh R.D. Block, Chief Justice Mr. Deepak K. Gupta had enquired the police about the latest and overall development of the above mentioned case.Though Police had failed to submit any satisfactory investigation report, Chief Justice angrily ordered the investigation officer to be present before the Court on Tuesday with all supporting documents.

On the other hand, the Hon’ble Court also enquired that after so many days of the outburst of  scam, why police was able to arrest only the 2 accused, excluding Bimal (Bimal surrendered).

Though the defence party had appealed for the interim order. But the High Court had denied this by handing over the investigation to the police as usual.

Two renowned advocates from Kolkata  will be representing Congress Party. Earlier, a delegation of Congress led by Opposition Leader Sudip Roy Barman filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) at Tripura High Court seeking CBI probe into the Rs. 50 crore MGNREGA scam . Before that, Congress alleged that state police are lagging behind to conduct an impartial investigation into this multicrore scam and only CBI can make a breakthrough in this case. Surrender of main culprit, Bimal Chakraborty before the court was nothing but an attempt of match fixing to safeguard the main accused person. As Chief Minister himself is Home Minister and all the accused like BDO Bimal are CM's close aide, so Police will never even dare to conduct an impartial investigation.

The High Court, previously had instructed the Government to produce the audit report of the multicrore scam of Bishalgarh and the Investigating Officer to submit the case diary. However the High Court also instructed that “If the Filing of PIL and other steps are merely the process of political campaigns and influence, then the Court will not spare the petitioner.” On the basis of the filing of PIL by both the Trinamool Congress and Congress, Court started the hearing under the bench of Chief Justice Deepak Kumar Gupta.

According to sources, more than 94 corrupt officials names of Bishalgarh RD Block  have not been declared by the government till now. As a result, some of the corrupt officials are not coming to office while many of them on official leave. Due to this the work of Bishalgarh RD Block is getting hampered. Now, it is quite clear that if police want to arrest the remaining nine involved persons in the MGNREGA multicrorescam they can, but due to the dirty politics of the CPI (M) ruled state government, the police have became dramatists.A section of people are saying that the police know all the hideouts of the remaining nine involved persons in MGNREGA multicrore scam but due to the high level influence of CPI(M) party and so called "clean" Chief Minister, police are not able to proceed as per law.
