AGARTALA, July 23 (TIWN): CPI-M party which was scheduled to stage protest with social distancing in Agartala against Modi Govt led Anti-People decisions and introduction of new laws in the country, along with raising voice for the daily workers, poor were stopped from protesting by Police. CPI-M top leaders including Former Ministers like Ratan Bhowmik, Manik Dey, Jitendra Choudhury, leader Pabitra Kar were arrested. While being arrested CPI-M raised slogan of “Inquilab Zindabad”. Slamming the BJP Govt, Gana Mukti Parishad (GMP) President, former Minister Jitendra Choudhury said, “Behind the COVID-19, Modi Govt is snatching people’s all rights. When crores of people have lost their jobs, farmers are unable to do cultivation and sales, on that time, all types of labour acts are modified, intriguing to sale out the country, to snatch people’s constitutional rights”.

“In protest against all these anti-people moves of the Modi Govt, GMP, Khet Majdoor, CITU had organized this protest. Today in whole India, this protest is going on. In last 28 months, BJP Govt has snatched people’s all rights. But, police is not allowing us to protest which is another intrigue in the name of COVID-19”, said Jitendra Choudhury.

Choudhury further accused the BJP Govt for spreading COVID-19 in the name of COVID-19 control.(BJP MLA has been tested COVID-19 Positive)

Leader Pabitra Kar raised question, why only can’t the oppositions only protest and the BJP has all right for gathering ?
