AGARTALA, July 22 (TIWN): Violation of social distancing by the ruling BJP Party MLAs, Leaders amid media's reporting, now have costed the BJP with results as Party's Vice President, MLA Rampada Jamatia has been confirmed as CORONA-VIRUS infected. BJP Krishna Nagar state headquarter was sanitized after the report of Rampada Jamatia and his family came. Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb in his social media status said, "MLA & BJP Tripura Vice President Shri Rampada Jamatia, his wife and his 2 PG found COVID-19 #POSITIVE. They have been admitted to CCC & team of specialised Doctors are taking care of them. I pray to Mata Tripurasundari for their speedy recovery".

Recently BJP Law Minister Ratanlal Nath himself was seen violating social distancing. Although the Minister later accepted that such situations should not erupt but after his statement also social distancing violation continued by BJP and few other parties.

BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav himself violated social distancing who joined public gathering after arriving in Tripura. 

Royal scion, former Congress President Pradyoy Manikya said, "Political leaders should be following orders of their own state government by not holding rallies and political events during the covid times . I have repeatedly appealed that we should refrain from any political activity which will spread this virus . I wish and pray for Rampada Jamatia early recovery and I once again appeal that Politicians and Mla should not be spreading this virus by continuously travelling and holding meetings . Our medical system is already over burdened . Social distancing is a must".
