AGARTALA, July 19 (TIWN): Tripura CM who has continued to being criticized nationally since 2018 has delivered another apological statement after he said that “Jat and Punjabi people have less brain”. After so many gaffes like, 'internet existed during the time of Mahabharata', 'Diana Hayden is not worthy for Miss World title', 'Tagore gave up Nobel Prize to protest against British rule" to many others, this time the CM had claimed that Jath Community is less intelligent, they can be defeated by using brain.

In a recent speech CM Biplab Deb said, "Sardars are having less intelligence but they are so strong physically. There are a lot of Jath people in Hariana, you can not beat them by physical power but they can be defeated if you use brain." 

After this video came out in internet people started condemning the statement saying that the statement can hurt the sentiments of a community. This is not the first time Tripura CM made a controversy by his words. The first gaffe which rocked whole India as well as abroad was his claim on "Internet was existing in Mahabharata's time and it's not US which claims for creating internet as India had those uses (Internet, satelites) before lakhs of years." However Deb did not stop here but continued gaffes with the next comment on Miss World Diana Hayden by saying, "Diana Hayden was unworthy to be Miss World and was promoted by International Mafia gang." 

The apology came after 2 days of his statement, saying, "Sardar, Jats have less brains and thus Bengalis may use their brains to defeat them......."

Calling Tripura Chief Minister’s statement as “Shameful and Unfortunate” Congress National Spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said, “BJP Chief Minister, Tripura, Biplab Deb insulted the Sikh brothers of Punjab and the Jat society of Haryana, called their " brain less This is the mentality of BJP. Why Kha??araj? and Dushyant Chautala are silent? Where is Modi ji and Na???j?? Ask for forgiveness, take action”.

The Editor said, such talks often create embarrassing situations for the people who are living outside Tripura and people think, Tripura is such backward place. Sarkar further asked CM to focus on administration instead of focusing on political revenges and to enjoy psychofans praises.
