JOLAIBARI (SANTIRBAZAR), July 13 (TIWN): Tripura never witnessed such worst era in its history where State Govt employees are working with umbrellas inside offices on their computers to save themselves from rain leaked office buildings. In Jolaibari, Santirbazar sub-division, State Electricity Department office building was never repaired after BJP came into power since 28 months, as a result rain pours into building, every official use umbrella to cover themselves & their computers. BJP Govt's tall claims from 5.5 Lakhs employment in 2 years to 'Ek Tripura, Sherstha Tripura' all turning as JUMLA as State is lagging development from all sides. For 3 years this building had no maintenance, caused such consequences.

Either under Planning Commission or diplomacy, the previous Govt was enable to build a strong infrastructure in the state, either connecting whole Tripura with roadways or building, parks, bridge etc, but due to lack of maintenance these offices, building, deadline crossed bridges are collapsing.

Roadways have not been maintained since the BJP Govt in power left even the capital city Agartala’s roads in deplorable shape.

Recently, a bridge was collapsed which reportedly 70% done under previous Govt but in last 2 and half years the new BJP Govt has not touched this bridge crossing the deadline. Before 3 months this bridge construction restarted and collapsed. Many such pending projects are left in similar condition.

Due to lack of Central funds, such incidents are happening, although Modi Govt promised a “double engine Govt in Tripura”. But instead of providing funds, Tripura public have been imposed with massive taxes, scrapping of free medical and other services with a lift of revenue income for the State Govt, but in development only dialogues.
