AGARTALA, July 12 (TIWN): Para-Legal Volunteers (PLV) of Tripura are not getting any payment for over 6 months. They are starving in pathetic condition during this crucial time of Covid-19 pandemic.
On Sunday the volunteers held a meeting at Agartala to discuss over this issue and addressed the media about their problems.
While addressing media one volunteer said,"We are not getting any payment for past 6 months. When we asked the authority they informed that no funding is coming from Delhi, that's why they are not able to give our salaries. And in this crucial time we are not getting any works also, how will we manage to survive is our salaries are being stucked on?"
He further added,"There are around five hundred volunteers across Tripura at present who are starving without money. Even the central government said that no employees should be terminated from job during lockdown, then why our salaries are not given? Why they asked us to resume our work after the funds get available and till then, no work no money! How will we survive now?"
