AGARTALA, July 7 (TIWN): 10323 Teacher's family in South Joy Nagar in Agartala who started a poultry shop after losing job was attacked by miscreants after they denied to give Rs. 50,000 extortion money to them. The attacked former teacher has been identified as Swapan Sarkar. His brother was also physically attacked and his sister-in-law was assaulted. Even though police were informed about the incident, but so far no arrest of the miscreant was reported. On the other side, 10323 teachers have lost their jobs and when few of them started survival with private investments, due to miscreants who are sheltered under the ruling BJP, no peace for the sacked teachers.
As per promise, the teachers could not be given any job yet by the BJP Govt but at the same time, tremendous tortures, blackmailing by miscreants continue. Recently many terminated among 10323 teachers were injured, attacked in miscreants attacks. Moreover, Law cum Education Minister Ratanlal Nath clearly stated that for physical assaults, police can not arrest anyone.
The attacked teacher's mother is heart patient and she needs regular medicine. The family is undergoing severe crisis situation.
The family has sought justice to the incident. The attacked teacher has requested the Tripura Govt to look after the sacked teachers future.
